I enjoyed parts of this film. I really enjoyed Elizabeth Banks' performance. She was funny and confident and a spaz. She very much complimented Seth Rogen's Zack. Though this fell into somewhat familiar territory, I thought this was a great film overall. I like Seth Rogen, he's funny, mainly in a sarcastic way, but confident too. I have to admit I was also happy seeing a Kevin Smith film I really liked, the first in a long long time. The last one was Dogma. I thought that this wasn't aiming too high, and kept the dialogue personable and sweet and wicked funny. There are no catch phrases and no gimmicks, it's just a couple of old platonic friends from the midwest who decide to try and pay the rent through porn. I loved Jason Mewes in this and really loved that they managed to get Traci Lords in the movie also, who knew? I think it's a renter, not necessarily an owner, but worth every minute.
Also, Craig Robinson - who played Delaney, was awesome. He was hilarious. I will keep an eye out for anything he or Elizabeth Banks is in.
The Star Whores porn segments are fabulous too. You find yourself laughing over it and relishing the concept.
Over all very solid performance, adult material but worth every minute.
